Using this desk

sureigloo.com is a reading room for household insurance in Canada. Salt Water Digital publishes it. If you stay, you accept these house rules. If you do not, close the tab.

Who you are dealing with

The desk explains coverage. It does not underwrite it, bind it, or sit across the table from you as a broker. Salt Water Digital is a marketing agency that happens to publish journalism-shaped pages, not a licensed advisor.

What the pages are for

Guides, tables, and the coverage check are briefing notes. They are not tailored to your postal code, your roof, or your last claim. Insurance in Canada is provincial. Wording moves. Read your own policy, or take the page to someone who can.

Partner pages

Some files on this desk are labelled partner reports. They may end in a check that sends you to Ratehub or another independent shop. Salt Water Digital can be paid for that click. The price you are offered on the other side does not go up because of that payment. Their contract is theirs. We do not promise a quote, a yes, or a claim cheque.

The words and pictures

Copy, layout, marks, and images belong to Salt Water Digital or are used with permission. Link to us. Do not scrape the cabinet or reprint the guides as your own product.

How not to use the desk

No breaking in, no flooding the server, no malware, no using the pages to run a scam. Ordinary reading is enough.

Doors to other sites

When you leave, you leave. We do not run the next website and we do not stand behind its forms.

If something is wrong

The desk is offered as it stands. B.C. and Canadian law still stop us from disclaiming what cannot be disclaimed. We are not on the hook for a coverage decision you make after reading, or for a product you buy after a partner click, except where the law refuses to let us say that.

Your side of the desk

Read without an account. Refuse extra cookies when we offer the choice. Ask what personal information we hold. Walk away from a partner flow whenever you like. A provincial ombudsperson remains available whether or not you ever wrote to us.
